“Kitchen Table Flowers”

Los Angeles  November 1st- Jantuary 1st 2022

Jennifer Sullivan’s diaristic drawing practice is a visual manifestation of her inner psyche. For Sullivan, drawing is a process of meditation. Through her physical manipulation of materials, she becomes fully present with her immediate surroundings - flowers, cat, kitchen table and other mundane household items. By reflecting on the overlooked and quotidian aspects of her daily life, Sullivan takes on a form of spiritual liberation through the use of exuberant color and expressive mark-making. Through this transformation, Sullivan’s work engages the viewer in a way that turns the personal into the universal. Watch a video about Jennifer and her process
