Inside Out is an orchestration of synchronized lights, audio and a 4 channel video. The installation is structured like a symphony -- completing the video trilogy that started with "All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace" and "Daisy", both of which explored synthesized human emotions and the affect of automation. The work follows the associative structure of internet browsing and the allocation of random access memories from a synthesis of the artists own personal video archive, internet-sourced footage, motion-capture and computer animation. The installation includes the process of synthesizing/digitizing the artists own body, voice, and memories while mixing/remixing them in the creation of a new AI Identity.

Inside Out is a choreography of it’s own making and it includes the residue of its own memories and process. The media becomes self-reflective and the defaults and demo modes they are built-in with are the new standards. A familiar pattern emerges from all the data. The work will evolve throughout the exhibition as new input is added to the database. Every single element behaves on its own while being part of the whole. The amalgamation of the database as a new language. Inside Out includes programming by Landon Thomas, a cello performance by Merideth Hillbrand, synchronized sound composition by Stephen Miguel Decker and text by Nicolás Giacobone. Pascual Sisto is an artist and filmmaker based in New York. He graduated with a BFA from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and a MFA from UCLA. He also attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2011 and is a recipient of the 2012 California Community Foundation Emerging Artist Fellowship, the 2011 ARC Durfee Foundation grant and the 2017 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship in Digital/Electronic Arts. He was recently awarded the Workspace Artist Residency from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and the Visual Arts resident at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn. His work has been reviewed in Art of America, Flash Art, Los Angeles Times and Vice Creator’s Project. Recent exhibitions include Galerie Lisa Kandlhofer (Vienna), Five Car Garage (Los Angeles), Smart Objects (Los Angeles), China Art Objects (Los angeles) and Seventeen Gallery (London).
